No Comply - 'Your Life (is your direction)' EP
Deck Cheese Records

'Your Life (is your direction', 'Decide', 'Misuse of Control', 'Rejected', 'Falling from Crosses', 'Background Action'

Hailing from Plymouth, Deck Cheese Records' No Comply are possibly one of the fastest growing 'ska-core' acts in the UK. The first track, entitled the same as the EP, kicks right in with a hit of the horn section followed by speedy, powerful riffs ad vocals. Lead singer Kelly's voice is really suited to their style, and makes No Comply one of the best girl fronted bands I've heard. 'Decide' starts off with a fantastic guitar and drums intro, and with a slight hint of reggae and great blend of speedy chorus to chilled out sections, making it another excellent track. My personal favourite, 'Misuse of control' has a well conceived metal tinged intro, with a really great drum sound. Making great use of the horn section in this track, they again combine speedy choruses with more mellow parts. 'Rejected' is more of a ska number, really bouncy and with a great element of fun. Another upbeat track with good use of the horns and guitars that is bound to get the crowd moving. Next up, 'Falling From Crosses' is a slightly heavier track in comparison to the others, with powerful horns which swap over to bouncy lyrics and excellent riffs. Finally, 'Background action'  is another ska number, though alot more chilled out, and finishes of this fantastic EP nicely.

No Comply produce a sound with great variability and solid, intelligently written lyrics with excellent use of horns and well constructed guitar and drums beats. You can expect to see No Comply in a town near you soon - they are not to be missed!
