The latest band to join the Moon Ska family, Shootin' Goon formed about 6 years ago in Cardiff. Despite many line up changes the band are as tight as ever. The ska/punk 8 piece get their influences from such bands as The Toasters, Rancid. Less Than Jake, Pietasters, Specials, Reel Big Fish, Madness, and, Mad Caddies.

Since breaking into the UK scene, they have played with some of the biggest ska/punk bands around and have toured all over the UK and Europe.

Sept '01 saw the Goon hit the road with the the almighty reggae rocksters Lubby Nugget and Mixtwitch throughout the UK and Europe on the 'Big Up Clash Tour'. To coincide with this, they released a split CD, cunningly name 'Big Up Clash' with Lubby Nugget.

Since then they released their debut album, 'Splottside Rocksteady', also on Moon Ska Europe. This gained them huge recognition in the press, receiving 9/10 in Mettal Hammer and KKKK in Kerrang Magazine. The 'Goon went on to tour with the likes of Jesse James, Lightyear, King Prawn, and have got support slots for The Ataris, Mustard Plug and Reel Big Fish.

Catch Shootin Goon at a town near you this year.....
