Not Katies, 14th
March, Salisbury Art Centre Support from: Vendetta,
MMR, Suicidal
Pussycats
Having interviewed Not Katies, we missed all but one of the
support bands. Not that I cared, the interview went brilliantly, Not Katies are
a really nice bunch of blokes (and pretty damn cute)...Onstage they were full of
energy and enthusiasm, and they seemed to love playing to a crowd who were eager
to hear more. Especially well received was '2 halves of 2', of P-rock fame, and
off their album, 'At Every Turn' . They made sure they played all the best off
their album, along with some new material which shows great potential! Their
live show is very tight, with each song played as well as the last. Not Katies'
latest addition, Neil, a guitarist who joined in November has obviously taken to
live shows like a fish to water, blatantly loving the attention, posing for
photos and the like! The singer Rich, was much the same, starting off the set
skanking and jumping all over the place like a madman (check out the photos!!).
The whole band gave it 110% effort, and after the show all members practically
collapsed! A special mention must go the the bassist Ewan, who I'm sure was
heard several streets away, a fantastic sound! The whole bands skill was
evident, you would never know that they've only been together for
years.
