This mad Dublin based punk five-some recently released their 2nd album, 'Smile For The Money Shot', and are currently touring with 4ft Fingers, Whitmore and Gash as part of the Golfing on the Moon tour.

Now renound for their onstage lesbian antics (from fans - i.e. me), Mixtwitch formed in February 1997 at a nightclub in Dublin. This occurred when an obnoxious muppet called Clemo clumsily fell on a table full of unsuspecting muppet-hating folk. These folk were in a band called Muzzle at the time and they took an immediate 'shine' to the greasy metaller and asked him to join their band.
Mixtwitch spent the next few years playing every single gig they possibly could which ranged from College Battle of the Bands to regular nights in local pubs and clubs. They made a few demos and got on a few local compilations despite their blatant inability to play any instruments properly.

At the beginning of 1999 Mixtwitch put out the now classic "5 songs and a prick" EP on a small Irish indie label. In September of the same year they released their debut single "Successful Everyday Living" in Ireland. After a while Carl began to tire of the boredom of playing bass and Mixtwitch went on the look for someone slow witted enough to be occupied by merely playing the root note of every chord and nothing else. They met Ronan at a pie contest in Sligo, which he won. They decided he was the pie man for them and duly went out and got drunk to see if they'd like him. It worked.

In August 2000 Mixtwitch released their now legendary debut album "Funny Because It's True" in Ireland. It received loads of positive reviews from underground fanzines to the mainstream Irish Music Press. In September 2001 they played the New Moon Rising tour with fellow moonies Lubby Nugget and Shootin' Goon, and in June 2002 they toured the UK on the 'Grifting Rubes' tour with NY Trad-Ska heroes The Slackers. They have also supported The Mad Caddies, Reel Big Fish and Capdown
