cheeezzz rock poseThe seeds of Bikeshed were sown back in school days, through a love of Sonic Youth and PJ Harvey. With the addition of female vocalist Leni in 1997, a change of drummer completed the current line-up of: Leni – vocals/guitar, Andy – vocals/guitar, Nick – bass/sampler/sequencer, Steve – Drums.

A previous CD and two European tours later, the band have produced their latest offering; four tracks of raw catchy songs, using samples, crunchy guitars and edgy vocals as a trademark. Not bad for a few quid in somebody’s back garden.

Copies of the new CD have been shifting at gigs and via the website, with the demand for t-shirts growing.

Bikeshed have had some pretty good press in the South-West:

“…Don’t-give-a-fuck-energy and originality…” Twenty4-seven Magazine
“Every song they play sends shivers down your spine.”  Western Gazette

The band have appeared on local TV and local radio, created a popular website, as well as being a featured band on the Radio 1 website, gained a mailing list running into hundreds and played throughout the UK.

Bikeshed are keen to record and release their newest material, hopefully with the help of a label or company who recognise their originality and potential!
